About Us: 

The purpose of our Church is to bring absolute glory to our awesome God.  Our mission is to make life-long disciples for Jesus Christ by advancing the Kingdom of God through public worship, the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, by living consistently in a Christ-centered manner, through personal evangelism, and missionary endeavor.  It is our goal to serve Christ in our community and throughout the world.

Our Church has been around since 1887, when a small group of believers endeavored to begin a witness for Christ in the community of Marchmont.  Since that time, our church has continued to experience the power, grace and love of God. 

We are associated with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec, and the Georgian Bay Association of Baptist Churches.

Staff:

Chris Cooke (Lead Pastor)

Chris Cooke is a graduate of Heritage Baptist College (B.R.E) and Tyndale Seminary (MDiv).  He is a strong believer in the "Missional Church" which views the Church as an outpost of God's sent people, charged with the mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the local and worldwide community. 

Chris has served God's church in Kitchener and Ottawa, ON, and is thrilled to be a part of the congregation of Marchmont Baptist.  He is looking forward to the wonderful adventures God has in store for the future.

Zeth Staats (Associate Pastor--Youth and Children)

We are pleased to welcome Zeth as our new Associate Pastor of Youth and Children's Ministries.  His ministry began March 1, 2011.  Welcome, Pastor Zeth!
